P90X Lean

Well, it began again last night!  I'm feeling that good kind of sore today!  I decided to go with the Lean version of P90X.  The biggest differences I can see, at least for the first month, is this:  You don't do chest and back and you don't do plyometrics.  Instead, you do Core Synergistics and CardioX.  This sounds good to me!  Since I am not supposed to be doing pushups right now, this works fine for right now.  Although there are some pushups in core synergistics (which is what I did last night), I managed to do a few, as well as modify the rest.  I have that good kind of sore feeling today.  I haven't felt that in several months.

Putting ChaLean Away

Finished.  I am not super happy.  Just happy.  I know you shouldn't compare the exercise programs against each other, but it's hard not to. I'm just not as happy as I was with P90X.  In fact, I'm going to start P90X again.  I took pictures this weekend.  I am a bit smaller, but I'm just not that happy with it.  I didn't skip workouts.  I didn't do extra workouts or extra cardio either.  I just stuck to the plan.  I think my organizational skills need sharpening because I am not a good one to plan supper.  So, many times, we would get stuck in the what's for supper rut and I'd make the same stuff, over and over.  Not unhealthy stuff, mind you, just blah.  So, I vow to do better.  I must clean out my nasty freezer full of junk and yuck so I can get more stuff to put in it.  Fresher frozen chicken breasts maybe!
Tonight, though, I am lazy.  Laying on the bed, typing and surfing the net.  No exercise tonight. My energy level seems to be highest after lunch, after my shakeology.  Too bad I'm stuck at work from 8-5.  Most nights I can just get busy and do a workout.  Not tonight.  I'm lonely, wishing for someone to talk to.  Pity parties are never pretty.

The Little Purple Band

Well, I finished ChaLean Extreme!  Big smiley face!  I am going to take pictures this weekend.  So watch out!  But seriously, last night, I did the RevAbs preview.  I love that.  I love doing it, I love the attitude and I noticed I have really nice hamstring muscles that are starting to show!  I have hamstrings!  So, while working out with my One on One with Tony Horton tonight, I did the "Just Arms" DVD.  Well, ChaLean would be proud.  I chose to do my reps slower than Tony AND I brought out the little purple band thing.  I worked my hamstrings while I worked my biceps.  SWEET!  I love double action.  I feel like a million bucks!  Have a great night!

Flying Boys

Well, above is a picture of my husband flying through the air and coming down, SAFELY. Greg and his son really had a great time. I was a nervous wreck. I was so relieved when they both landed. The day was a little overcast that day and we had some worried moments about if they would even get to jump. But, it all worked out.

Look at that smile! He was thrilled. And what is great for me, is that he said, "I think I got it out of my system." I'm so glad he didn't say, wow, I want to do that again, and again and again. It was a good day.

Don't let your arms get tired!

When I bought Greg's gift certificate to go sky diving, it was a piece of paper. Now, it's a reality. He is jumping out of an airplane tomorrow. Tomorrow! Greg's birthday was in January so I knew I had quite a lot of time before the weather would actually allow him to jump. I have also arranged to have a DVD made of the entire jump. That's as close as I ever want to come to jumping out of a perfectly good airplane!
Greg's son, Curt, has surprised everyone and shown up to jump with his dad. I think it will be great for them to do this together.
I'll post about their adventure tomorrow.
