A Date With My Kids

Sunday, October 18th.  I am going to see Where the Wild Things Are with all 3 of my kids.  My two oldest boys are in college and Sara, my only daughter, is a freshman in high school.  I read this book to my kids years and years ago.  They loved it then.  I think we will all love it again!  I'm really looking forward to it.  Kyle, the oldest is driving down to Muncie, where Craig, the middle guy, goes to college. Kyle is a senior at Taylor University and Craig is a freshman at Ball State University.  Education Redefined.
I just hope I don't cry.  :)  I miss the boys something fierce and I love it when we are all together again.  They think I'm crazy most of the time.  That's not a compliment either.  They just really think I'm crazy!  This should be a fun afternoon.  That is, if I remember to sit in between Craig and Sara, so they don't pick at each other.  I do love my kids!

Friendship is a wonderful thing...

You know the internet is amazing.  Since I became a coach with Beachbody, I have met so many people from all over the U.S.  One friend in particular is Anne Dovel.  She's amazing.  What a wonderful inspiration she is.  She's a 5 star diamond coach and a stay at home mom.  She home schools her three boys and I think that alone is worth standing up and cheering about.  She's leading by example and we, her "followers" think she should be crowned our Queen!  How about it Anne?  Will you be our Team Beachbody Queen?  Oh, don't thank me Anne.

I purchased a new book today.  I mean, I went to the grocery for a quick trip. Milk, bread, kleenex, etc. and all of a sudden, this book just hopped into my cart.  So, I took it home and have now read the first 25 pages or so.

I think this awesome little book is going back to the grocery store with me next time.  It promises to help me choose the healthiest of the healthy foods available!  I will take that challenge!
And I may never have to text Anne Dovel ever again.  :)
I hate being outsmarted.

P90X Lean

Well, it began again last night!  I'm feeling that good kind of sore today!  I decided to go with the Lean version of P90X.  The biggest differences I can see, at least for the first month, is this:  You don't do chest and back and you don't do plyometrics.  Instead, you do Core Synergistics and CardioX.  This sounds good to me!  Since I am not supposed to be doing pushups right now, this works fine for right now.  Although there are some pushups in core synergistics (which is what I did last night), I managed to do a few, as well as modify the rest.  I have that good kind of sore feeling today.  I haven't felt that in several months.

Putting ChaLean Away

Finished.  I am not super happy.  Just happy.  I know you shouldn't compare the exercise programs against each other, but it's hard not to. I'm just not as happy as I was with P90X.  In fact, I'm going to start P90X again.  I took pictures this weekend.  I am a bit smaller, but I'm just not that happy with it.  I didn't skip workouts.  I didn't do extra workouts or extra cardio either.  I just stuck to the plan.  I think my organizational skills need sharpening because I am not a good one to plan supper.  So, many times, we would get stuck in the what's for supper rut and I'd make the same stuff, over and over.  Not unhealthy stuff, mind you, just blah.  So, I vow to do better.  I must clean out my nasty freezer full of junk and yuck so I can get more stuff to put in it.  Fresher frozen chicken breasts maybe!
Tonight, though, I am lazy.  Laying on the bed, typing and surfing the net.  No exercise tonight. My energy level seems to be highest after lunch, after my shakeology.  Too bad I'm stuck at work from 8-5.  Most nights I can just get busy and do a workout.  Not tonight.  I'm lonely, wishing for someone to talk to.  Pity parties are never pretty.

The Little Purple Band

Well, I finished ChaLean Extreme!  Big smiley face!  I am going to take pictures this weekend.  So watch out!  But seriously, last night, I did the RevAbs preview.  I love that.  I love doing it, I love the attitude and I noticed I have really nice hamstring muscles that are starting to show!  I have hamstrings!  So, while working out with my One on One with Tony Horton tonight, I did the "Just Arms" DVD.  Well, ChaLean would be proud.  I chose to do my reps slower than Tony AND I brought out the little purple band thing.  I worked my hamstrings while I worked my biceps.  SWEET!  I love double action.  I feel like a million bucks!  Have a great night!
